The members of 100 Black Men of Dekalb County have lost a true friend and leader.
Thomas
W. Dortch Jr., chairman emeritus of 100 Black Men of America, was a man on the move. Shortly after I was elected president of the 100 Black Men of Dekalb County, I found myself on the same flight to Louisiana with Tommy. We talked in the airport for about a half hour. He graciously shared the experiences he had in leading this formidable organization and in giving back to the community that he loved and served untiringly.
I will forever cherish the wisdom he imparted to in the time we spent together. We extend our deepest sympathy to his family, friends, and all those he touched. We will miss his leadership, friendship, his commitment to youth, and the betterment of the beloved community.
Gregory Bernard Levett Jr.
